Completely unrelated to what I said, but honestly I don't really care. I don't watch sports very often. I suppose teams/coaches/managers should be able to select who they want or don't want on the team?
Personally I wouldn't watch games with men or women in drag. If we're talking about varsity/collegiate stuff I would not let my daughter play with/against a male. (and would hope she was wise enough to refuse)
They won't be able once it will be normalized and codified, also internationally (we've already had this accepted at Olympics level). Just as with ongoing normalization (and protection of promotion) of troonism in every other aspect of everything.
