You might think this irrelevant to the article but it isn't but I saw something quite profound posted up I think it was on a steam review of all places by someone who was obviously a gamer. He realised like I've been realising that these companies are very much marketing to non-gamers now and now they've managed to achieve their target market the opinions of actual gamers who play these games don't matter anymore.
This means that you have fucking games like Cyberpunk 2077 releasing in the mess that they have or them pulling whatever shady business practices and it doesn't matter how much shit they pull the consooming masses will lap it up and even defend it against people who have been playing games since the 90's and remember how the industry was by gaslighting them and pretending this is normal business practice. They're pushing out whatever generic crap they can ( I was not impressed by Cyberpunk 2077 even when it technically 'worked' ) and then milking the unknowing masses for money with it. I have to wonder if that was part of their game plan to bring in Keanu Reeves as a voice actor and get the normies excited.
I think gamers need to accept that the big studios have simply cast everything they once believed in aside and only support real indie developers that give a shit. This stupid menstrual policy is very much just the beginning of CD Projekt Red being gutted beyond recognition.
"We [get] many cool perks: We can bring our dogs to the office, we often have upskilling workshops, [and] wellbeing seminars," Sondej said. "For those who need a helping hand, we also facilitate psychological help. I know it might sound cheesy, but--despite being new--I really feel at home. I also feel like I can speak up here, which is great."
That's why I've fucked off from 99% or more triple-A titles. Indie devs simply produce better games for less. There's less overhead, fewer employees, no bureaucratic HR department to pay and most importantly, the dev is under no responsibility to be more "inclusive" like the mega corps.
Also, the dev has complete creative control over the content and some of them even seem to give a shit about their audience.
There are more games than any human could possibly play. By the time you've finished one, fifty more take its place. There are so many games that the very concept of a "killer app" basically doesn't exist any more, with some very rare exceptions. Maybe one game a year gets released that is consider "must play". Maybe. For all the rest, there are a million games just like it that you can play instead.
There's absolutely no reason to give money to anti-humanists who want you dead.

Omfg it's worse than twitter, pre-Elon.

Kinda like CDPR used to be lol
Ehhh, aren't indie developers usually even more woke?
Depends on the dev, of course. A lot of smaller devs just seem to be really passionate about putting out their games.
If they start spouting woke horse shit, I just move on to another one.
It's sorta like avoiding major news media: you gotta sift through a LOT of shit to find what you want, but it's worth it.

Investigating poop for undigested kernels of corn.
More of this please.
There's all kinds. The best ones are the ones that focus on their game and good boy points.
Is that training? That's good, but just say training. Absurd.
I admit I was wondering that myself, why don't they just call them training courses? They have to put buzzwords in to describe everything now.
