The WNBA ad slots are pretty damn cheap. There are video game streamers who make more money off of ads than the WNBA.
They probably figured the positive normie press of "WNBA Sponsor Budweiser" would outweigh the double-digit viewership.
Or just selling 2 extra cans would cover the cost of advertising
