Gosh, you think it's morally wrong- even reprehensible- to pretend to be another race for the sole purpose of disparaging or misleading them? We should give this action a name like, say, shapeshifting, and actively discuss examples of it :)
As a negro I must say this development has caused me much consternation. SHEEEIT
So if you use something, and you don't share the skin color of the people that created it, that's racist, and you shouldn't do it?
Okay, let's play that game.
White people invented the internet.
A Yahoo story complaining of racism? On my internet? It's more likely than you think.
The meme I alluded to features a black woman in the original advertisement. Is this digital blackface?
Also, is this a white liberal woman/male feminist problem? My work peer group uses mostly animals or cartoons, my friend group is more of a mixed bag, and my parents send me Facebook memes, but I cannot recall the last time I saw any of the memes mentioned in the article from any of those groups. I am almost compelled to seek out a "cat mom/wine enthusiast" social group to test out my hypothesis.
Yahoo would be out of business without articles on race or lgbt. They are really on a trans kick
How the mighty have fallen. Yahoo used to be an interner superstar, at least in North America. Were they hollowed out or did they shrink to such a state? Either way, keeping your once great site alive through grievance articles to generate hate clicks is pathetic.
Even the left is tired of black overrepresentation everywhere.
I'd like to send some memes with white people but they've been all race swapped out of popular media.
No meme archives? Shamefur dispray!
Here's my digital blackface contribution (I wish I had a more meme-ready format, it's around 25 seconds in):
Wow these people are massively reaching. If you have time to be offended by this then you have a pretty good life.

Memes are by definition digital blackface, because the term "meme" was coined by the African-British scientist, Richard Dawkins.
I remember this. It was a brilliant time insulting the author. Wait this is a new article? LMAO
