Didn’t he make people angry for criticism of Islam? I’m a Christian but I would expect an atheist to be consistent so that makes sense. I’ve seen atheists who don’t criticize Islam because they don’t want to be disrespectful
The new atheist movement from the 2000's was subverted and taken over by progressives/marxists some time around the early 2010's with #CoffeGate and Atheism+. The end goal was for the establishment to redirect criticism of Islam towards white people and Christians instead, and it also tied into the open borders agenda since so many muslim migrants were(still are) being brought into Europe.
The remnants of the new atheist movement have basically become orphaned and find themselves now lumped with the people they once railed against (religious right) by having to stand up for basic common sense when dealing with leftist progressive types. The current atheist movement is just a neutered shell of its former self only being allowed to attack Christianity and white people since they're the only safe targets.
Yea. I just noticed some who only attacked Christianity. I remember Christopher Hitchens criticizing Islam and was surprised but respected him for his consistency
He had one moment I recall where he sort of chickened out on lumping Islam together with the rest, when interviewed by a wild-eyed Muslim, but other times he’s lumped them all together. He just wasn’t as forceful or completely consistent like Christopher Hitchens. Dawkins did have a decent line at one point, pointing out that people avoid criticizing Islam out of fear of Muslims might do, not respect for the religion orbits followers. That’s 100 percent accurate.

I remember that. Atheism+, then Transhumanism+. There was a lot of + subversion going on, until Gamergate, then it was Gates with MetalGate, etc.
Most athiests are too scared to criticize Islam for obvious reasons.
