So anything in Florida can get out of paying sales tax and property tax? Sure sounded like a lot of things are. That seems like cronyism, but IDK

But then you are responsible for paying for the upkeep of the public infrastructure in your district. So you are basically giving up paying taxes in exchange for paying for roads, storm drains, and other public works.

Uh huh. The stuff that theoretically taxes go for. But what about "their share" of the welfare and graft?

And to put it simply the case for cronyism, a lot of people would like to not pay these taxes and instead provide for themselves. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. And I assume Florida Man to borrow from another thread is not qualified for these breaks.

You could call it business friendly. Don't get me wrong as basically a libertarian I'm not happy about the government taking in money. Just seems like a fairness issue for an an issue of the distribution of the tax burden. However, if the case is the corporations don't pay taxes but the people that take the profits do that can be fine.

For what its worth, its not something I feel strongly about. But if Florida thinks its a good policy for their state, then they can do as they wish. Call it whatever you want, I can see arguments in any direction.

I am merely contesting the notion that Disney got off with just a slap on the wrist when the guy who is an expert in those laws says they effectively got as bent over the table and their ass slapped as is possible.
