The entire J6 debacle requires people to not know anything about it. The narrative has been constructed from almost thin air and has been on that shaky foundation from the beginning. If people get to see it in the slightest, then it crumbles without a single need for explanation or argument for almost everyone.

Yeah, but you can go out and see those things having an actual real negative effect on the world. I can see a racist white guy, I can see a gun victim, I can see abusive business practices. There is a kernel of an actual problem at the heart of these things, which they then blow wildly out of proportion and present a solution that is worse to fix.

I get what you're saying, but there are unreasonable bigots out there on the extreme end. They aren't common, and really aren't enough of a problem to base policy around despite what most discourse says, but you can see them directly yourself. And to many they will take that as a problem they get emotional about, without thinking of the consequences of fixing it.
