Except those priests literally go against the Bible (especially that compelled celibacy BS causing all this in the first place which Paul specifically forbids against), but then again I wouldn't expect someone who never actually read the thing to understand.
There's a reason that Protestants split off from Catholicism, and why Catholics call themselves Catholics and not Christians.
Don't forget that literally allowed homosexuals to be priest and then those homos raped a bunch of little boys. Don't let the stupidity of celibacy distract you from that
Nah that's not recent. Most of the catholic priests victims were boys. What is recent is a revelation that their is a gay club in the catholic church that has existed for decades
And on today's episode of fanfiction wars, we see the long-standing "my god, who I made up, is way better then your god, which you made up" rivalry between two different editions of "old jewish god, which they made up" enjoyers flare up again.
I wonder what it'll take to get people to understand you can have morals and good/bad behavior dichotomies without having to cite imaginary sky kings whose sole basis for dictating right/wrong is "I have a way, way, way bigger stick then you, and I'm perfectly willing to beat you all to death with it until you obey me".
Try reading the comment chain, you literally don't even know what you're talking about.
Its the same God, its just that the Catholics are going against what the Bible says.

Not only was this never brought up anywhere in the post, its also ridiculous. Obviously "good people" and "bad people" can exist anywhere, including inside and outside the church, even ones that are supposed to be "good", but that depends heavily on your highly subjective definition of "good".
You have brought up a topic that is so broad, that its honestly laughable. Did you even think before posting?
You think that people defining "good" or "bad" can be so simple? You most likely do not even know what "good" means, or why your definition of "good" even means what it does.
God is an objective source above and outside of mankind for morality. To this day, mankind has yet to come up with anything on its own that has matched the morality of the Ten Commandments, and Jesus's teachings and commandments.
You most likely live in a western country, founded on moral principles established by Christianity and the Bible, yet you believe you can spit on the feet of the giant whose shoulder you're standing upon. That is the height of arrogance, ignorance and stupidity in my eyes.
You don't even know the difference between the 2 biggest broad factions, whose conflict between each other is one of the major reasons why you have the freedom to post and act like the person you are.
Under Catholicism (which is what much of Europe was under for a long time), someone like you would've been either slaughtered, forcefully converted, or silenced through fear, threats or violence.
Have you ever once thought why Europe and America are so different from the rest of the world in terms of morality? Maybe you should either do some thinking, or try living in another region and see how long you last elsewhere.
There's no such thing as agood person. All humans are depraved. You just have those who walk with the Lord and move away from that depravity and those who don't
Impressive conclusion. That's what you came to after reading over 700,000 words of scripture? Or at least the New Testament? I don't buy it, because you literally said nothing here.
every sect of Christianity thinks its the right one.
Who'd have guessed that, yes, people want to believe their deeply held religious beliefs are correct. If you don't think your own beliefs were correct, there'd be no reason for you to have them in the first place.
The Bible is the objective source here used, note how I did not mention any specific "sect".
Protestantism is an umbrella term for Christians who are not Catholic/Orthodox. There are plenty of incorrect denominations within Protestantism, but also several that are correct (and non-denominational ones can either be correct or not depending on their beliefs), but that's not the point. The point here was pointing out an incorrect belief held by the Catholic church, which is a top-down, autocratic entity that explicitly goes against the Bible's words.
Its not about "my brand is better than your brand" in this comment , its literally "What you're doing here is incorrect, no wonder all the other brands split off from you."
Based. Too many catholics still cling to their fanfiction that was created to justify a massive power structure, even while they openly acknowledge the pope himself the cardinals being heretical, satanic or at least corrupt as fuck and covering up the pedophile scandals.
The entire catholic system goes against the core message of the bible.
My grandfather, who is an experienced and long-time pastor, entertains there is at least a possibility (if not a decent likelihood) that the Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon.
They are the Muslims of Christianity if I'm being honest. People have no idea about their violent past. They had things like forced conversions (as in, the same kind that Muslims had, which is "convert or kill"), massive amounts of violence and authoritarianism (preventing the common person from being allowed to read the Bible, through their clergy/laity hierarchy), they massacred and oppressed much of Christendom quite literally during the religious wars of freedom. They routinely did this sort of thing and schemed to have anyone who disagreed with them killed. They were violent and fanatical and killed what should've been their own brethren, hardly what God wants out of Christians.
They have explicit doctrines that go against Biblical teachings. Their system as a whole, like you said, is just flat-out wrong. Doesn't even get into the messes that are Papal Supremacy, Infallibility, and Primacy, which are quite literally making the Pope out to be some kind of infallible emperor who communes with God.
Combine the fact that the Pope is something ridiculously powerful in the Catholic faith with the fact that, during the time of Martin Luther, the Popes came from the most powerful and richest family in Italy (The Medicis)... its like, what is this joke? Just how corrupt can the Catholic church be?

Seems a lot of cultures did or do this. Using little boys.
Don't forget that literally allowed homosexuals to be priest and then those homos raped a bunch of little boys. Don't let the stupidity of celibacy distract you from that
I'm guessing that's something recent, I didn't hear about that but it sounds messed up

You're correct of course.
I have read it. It's trash. Every sect of christianity thinks it's the right one, and think everyone else is wrong.
Impressive conclusion. That's what you came to after reading over 700,000 words of scripture? Or at least the New Testament? I don't buy it, because you literally said nothing here.
