What do you mean by waste management? I'm very close to coming to the conclusion that all recycling is a scam too. Not sure if you mean that or industrial waste or (specific to this topic) carbon capture.
Waste management in urban areas more than anything, a lot of the lazy fucks in cities don't even bother throwing their trash into bins, just drop it on the floor or out the window.
That gets carried in the wind and pollutes the rural areas where they DO clean up after themselves. Landfill is more organised and environmentally safe than cities are.
Ah ok, just collecting trash then. Yet another reason we need to wall off the cities. Though around here there's a lake that Mexicans go to every year and they always leave the whole area covered in trash.
Literally just stop throwing your garbage on the side of the highway.
glass and aluminum are basically infinitely recyclable. paper is heavily recyclable. everything should be packaged in one of these three. plastic reserved only for things that require vacuum/airtight seals for freshness.
The best way to recycle glass is to dump it in your local subduction zone. It's more energy intensive to recycle glass than it is to make new glass.
you just wash it or melt it down what's so energy intensive about that
the crushing, sand is already crushed.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just clean it out and re use it than recycle? I'm just thinking about glass bottles like some drinks companies use, if you could just hand them back for small change and then all they need to do is clean them then they can re use then, that's probably an easier process.
