NATO/the US is basically playing a game of "I'm going to send arms to your enemy and there's nothing you can do about it cuz you don't want to go to war with me. Neener-neener."
Two can play that game. If I was Russia, I would have told NATO to back the fuck off, or I will send the very best anti-aircraft systems and nuclear weapons I had to Iran, Syria, and anyone else that's on the West's shit list and put them in the same position.
Russia is a bit smarter and aware said weapons would likely end up in the hands of terrorists and other unintended groups. Similar to how a large amount of stuff sent to ukraine ends up in terrorists hands.
