I think McCain is the only time I've ever seen a large group of right wingers decide it was okay to disrespect a man's death outright. And there was still huge pushback against it.
And at least McCain was a politician with actual effects on lives who died days after giving one last fuck you to everyone who voted for him.
he should have been forced to resign after his diagnosis was made public.
Even then, we're decades behind leftists when it comes to celebrating people dying (it's really good that we are and bad that we're going to have to learn not to be).
