A male birth control pill was 100% effective in a study on mice. Now researchers are preparing for human trials.

The pill, which works after an hour, could be more effective than condoms and the female contraceptive pill with fewer side effects, experts say.

I've never understood how women can readily take pills that affect their hormonal systems. I'd certainly never do that, even if I was okay with contraception.

Remember that the women's contraceptive pills have been proven to reduce their hypothalamus. It literally affects the brain structure permanently. Are you really going to do that to your bodies, men? It'll take decades to realize what it really does to you.

Two things on this: First, I am sure most weren't aware when the pill came out. Hell, most aren't now.

Second: I think a lot wouldn't care. Using sex as a weapon without having to fear the consequence of children is something they wouldn't give up, even if the side effect were worse. There's no long-term-thinking involved.
