The only way I can reconcile the stuff that Imp says with reality is that he's bottled up in his echochamber for so long that he has forgotten everything from the real world and mistakes the simulacrum of online for reality. No way you'd otherwise say that mothers would be happy if their sons' throat was slit otherwise.
Leftist mothers who wish their son was a daughter or are actively trying to trans their sons do exist, just not in Italy nearly as much as they do in America, and Imp is making the assumption that all of the mothers that would trans their sons are doing so because they hate the fact that they had a son.
