You're not knowledgeable of ancient societies at all with a comment like that.

The first thing you are doing is assuming that what you think is deviant, was always deviant. Your concept of deviant is basically coming from the Post-Enlightenment Anglosphere. Even though that might be a good thing, it doesn't change that completely different civilizations just have totally incompatible views on deviance.

Meanwhile, Ancient Greece's pederasty was so prevalent, it is likely the very origin for Afghanistan's "Bacha Bazi". The Ottomans were well known for their harems, and also their Jannisaries who were groomed as children. Mohammed married a 9 year old and fucked her when she was 12. Sulla was married, but probably had a gay lover, and Alexander was almost certainly gay himself. Sparta was so god damned gay they endangered their own population growth rate, and created the most infamously resentful women in history. Islam is still littered with homosexual activity that is excused for any plethora of silly rationalizations including (and I've literally heard both of these): "Women are for children; men are for pleasure", and the infamous "Man Love Thursday" where it's okay because the holy day is tomorrow so I guess it doesn't count or something? The term for hermaphrodite originates from Greece (again, seeing a bit of a pattern here), and these types of, well, mutants, were seen as having been touched by deities. They were more oddities than "evil".

Even in Medieval Europe, gays wouldn't have just been executed, they were actually just ostracized to live in the equivalent of a Lepper Colony, because they very likely had an STD already.
