Specifically with this the backgrounds are AI generated, which look pretty good. You have a lot of people in the comments of the tweet whining about it.
It is exactly what I predicted it would be used for. Why not make use of it if it works? Backgrounds are usually the most tidious part of any art piece though I don't know how it is with animation.
No doubt the Hollywood low-IQ trash being put out these days will be the first to be automated. It's nothing but quirky/edgy humor, modern-day political bullshittery (no matter what year the story takes place in), and the plot is stolen from somewhere else but the genders/races are flipped around.
I've been so completely convinced that the plots of most movies coming out recently were AI-generated already simply due to how by-the-numbers all the blatant Leftist garbage in them has been. Woman strong, man dumb, foreigners good and noble and honest, citizens weak and bad and unappreciative and entitled, etc. That fits in exceptionally well with them all being soulless automatons, but still.
When an AI can tell a compelling story that I can't recognize the template and building blocks for, then I'll gleefully wait for the overthrow of Hollywood. I've already seen several (very short) AI generated stories, but they all obviously follow a template and have very little variation.
Side note: Japanese culture believes everything has a soul, so a robot is seen kindly. It's in stark contrast to European beliefs where only humans do. Robot dog vs the terminator.

looks better than the 3d shit they keep trying to shove in anime at least.
What a touching story. No idea where the explosions came from though.
Reminded me of Futurama where Fry recovered his lost doggy.
Also I thought the story was AI generate. But it was just the background art. If an AI can tell a compelling story, then I’ll really start to worry.

It's not fully AI generated, there was a base and the results were traced.
Full AI generation is primarily gong to be used for generic backgrounds such as open oceans.
Freeing artists up from drawing backgrounds is an ideal use case.
That was a wonderful story.

Japan has discovered emojis.
The robot dog chasing away other humans stood out to me. Did the AI write the script too?
Seems like sinister messaging. Other humans bad. Trust only your robot companion.
Only the backgrounds were CGI enhanced, the rest - including the painfully abhorrent music - was human generated.
