To be fair, you have to be pretty lame to quote an old copypasta which became the Current Thing on reddit for like a week in 2017 because some fat guy recorded himself sperging out in a mcdonalds over szechuan sauce and the idiots online responded with "oh yes, this is an accurate representation of all fans of a given show that I don't like".
He didn't groom anyone.
The person you are referring to was not 16.
Guilty as charged. You just found out that I am lame?
LOL. Thanks for reminding me of that. That was awesome.
No? What's this about then?
It's about him getting charged in OC, CA with some kind of domestic violence against an ex girlfriend in January 2020, exactly 3 years ago and right at the limit of the 3 year felony statute of limitations in California, which means the OCDA probably got the report a long time ago, deemed it not sufficiently credible or supported by evidence to prosecute, and decided not to prosecute, then flipped recently when twitter got mad at him and some prosecutor thought she could grab some headlines.
Dude got guilty until proven innocent & fired based on mere allegations.
I can tell you with confidence the charges are bullshit purely based on the fact that they waited until the 3 year mark. If the charges were not bullshit, they would have charged him immediately in Jan/Feb 2020. It's not like they need time to "gather evidence" in a domestic violence case.
Crazy bitches routinely make false claims when they are jilted or feel like a dude wronged them somehow.
Who is this then?

I agree with you that it sets a bad precedent to allow innocents to be destroyed regardless of their politics.
Idk why people are saying 16 in that thread. The anonymous tumblr post claimed to be a girl who was 17 and in Las Vegas at the time, not 16. This would have been something like 9 years ago.
The legal age of consent in Nevada is 16. So 17 was perfectly legal.
There is no evidence Roiland knew her age. She was just an internet thot he was texting with.
He was flirting with her in texts. The thing about internet whores is that they act like whores on the internet in order tog et sexual attention from men, and then when they get that attention, they act resentful that they're being treated like a whore. I've seen this many times in my own life.
Basically there is no basis to think Roiland did anything wrong, legally, ethically, or morally. There is just some ethot who called herself a "nymphette" in her twitter bio, which is code for "a girl who wants to seduce and fuck older men".
