I have a theory why Asians would rather be Democrats and negotiate with the dominant blacks on affirmative action than just be Repubican: They're still getting in. That's right. So CalTech's class isn't 70% Asian. It's 30% Asian instead. If you're basically winning you don't fuck up what you've got going. You'd rather fight the underperforming minorities on the margins and frankly from a position of power as a member of the party that's NOT demographically doomed.
Asian women are already for the Democrats. While they get discriminated against in colleges I think they still count towards the non-white goal of diversity for ESG scores.
What I look at is where the Asian political power is which is the Democratic party. Asians don't seem to have a power bloc in the Republicans. But maybe that's just a local thing. I know that plenty of Asians independently vote Republican. But you don't see that many Republican candidates. Whereas with the Democrats they have districts that they are very influential in. They have representation in the power structure. And like I say are always basically second fiddle to the blacks therein.
