It also struck me that this could also function as contract renegotiation fodder, as I expect they feel they can now lowball the boys a bit on price.

After funding Rangz of Power for a billion dollars I don't put much stock in Amazon's business competency

Amazon is like a schizophrenic girlfriend, making shit like Rings of Power but then something good like Reacher, Terminal List and the 3rd season of Jack Ryan which was an improvement on season 2.
I really don't understand them at times, it's why I can't slot them into the 'fuck you' pile with Disney and Netflix
Yeah, all those rumors and weird ideas about Tom Cruise came out around the time his contracts were getting renewed. Is he crazy? Well yeah, he works in Hollywood. Why did it only come out when money was on the line though?
