Gutfeld is honestly awful. More than anything, that just shows how bad late night is. Imagine thinking Gutfeld is funny, and more enjoyable because everyone else is a horrible unfunny leftist.
I do notice ever since the woke era started I tend to overrate things that don’t hammer me with leftist talking points. Or with these free streaming networks with a ton of older content I’ll watch some b movie from 80s or 90s and think it’s brilliant because a man is masculine and a woman is feminine or it’s just a story and not the MESSAGE. But I think Gutfield and his guests have funny moments at time
I don't watch late night tv anymore but that was something the Craig Ferguson late night show did really well. Hell he even got an old American Revolutionary tattoo and showed it on air because he was proud to get American citizenship. You wouldn't see any of the current hosts ever do something like that.
He was fantastic with guests too. Even when you could see they were struggling with the limelight, he never brought attention to it and helped them through it. His interview with Notch before he was made verboten really showed this.

Gutfeld has sketches and jokes that are intended to make people laugh, something no other late night show bothers to do anymore.

Red Eye was hilarious a decade ago. There were absolutely no limits on 3am television. I used to DVR the episodes, because 3am.
