Dont even have to watch these videos, just look at the comments on them ( I recommend using ad block to not give these people any ad revenue profits, even if its a few cents): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlwnlb72rLo

And the thing that pisses me off is that anime is actually such a diverse medium, that there are literally mountainloads of anime that dont sexualize women. There is literally genres like shoujo and manhwa geared towards female audiences, and yet these people go into shounen (a genre meant for teenage boys), and the complain that the women are sexualized.

And when you point out that there are genres that gear towards women as well, its still not enough for them.
Related to the post u/Theman2008 made earlier today
It’s never enough. If more people could realize that people who can’t shut up about diversity or sexism in your hobby are not actual fans and they have no interest in anything except changing what you enjoy fandoms would be so much better off.
Most of the people in these comment sections are people new to anime who only watch surface level male-geared shounen shit. There is one comment on inakyu's video where a girl writes "Im glad I watch aot, because its an anime that doesnt sexualize and writes strong female characters". Most of these people only started watching anime when it became popular. You see similar sentiment on instagram and tiktok comment sections as well.
They do the same with cosplay. They claim it's all sexy shit and then they ignore iconic female characters who are modest, because they want the over the top attention and reactions.
A nicely done Riza Hawkeye or Lina Inverse would always be cool, but she would get a bit less hollering than doing yet another currently popular titty waifu.
I'd love to see a good cosplay of Noa from Patlabor, but it's too old, and she's not sexualized.
"Technically not public indecency" cosplays will of course get attention, especially if it is an attractive woman "wearing" them, but pizzazz and proper coordination have, from my experience, gotten far more active attention. Passive attention, yeah, people gonna stare, but active "can I grab a photo?" "You're awesome" kind of thing, you gotta rock the outfit.
One year, the most popular costume at the con I was at was a couple in simple Titan cosplays, who had three ferrets in AoT guard costumes running around on them. And why not? It was adorable, and they were well-trained ferrets.
Another year, people crowded to see a Jesse and James paired cosplay that came in their own Meowth hot air balloon. Clearly the attention was because of the Jesse midriff, not the spectacle, right?
People appreciate the human form, male or female, that embodies the best of its physique. Obviously. But those socjus karens, oddly enough, act as if thots are the only women who exist at conventions.
So it’s similar to what you see in other hobbies were people who never had any interest jumped on board and now they want to dictate how it should be? If I understand correctly there are mangas and anime that are specifically made to appeal to guys or women right?
A major problem now is trying to force women into everything.
Yep all the normie retards are now watching anime and call themselves weebs because they watch mha
I'm not like those fake nerds who only watch mha, I know aot and fma too. Like, omg, I'm totes a weeb.
