Most of Twitch views are bots

Breaks my heart that those woke ads are being played to no one and the corporations that pay for those ads are being massively defrauded.
It's a laundering scheme all the way down.
Money is taken out of your and my hands by taxes, shaken up a little bit, and then funneled into banks, international corporations, and the military industrial complex with zero oversight by the billions. The left is correct about billionaires, but not for the right reasons, and their focus is massively scattered into being more upset about their neighbors that do slightly better than them instead of the people in castles.
I wonder how many human "viewers" are effectively the same as bots. The only time I "watch" something on twitch is when I keep it running muted in the background for drops (e.g. watch some dev stream for 30 minutes and get in-game stuff).
Lol, I've watched exactly 12 hours of twitch in the last months for exactly that reason. I just put it on mute.
I don't play rust anymore but I grinded for those drops from the first twitch rivals lol. I jumped on the moment I heard it was a huge clusterfuck because I knew I just had to get the double door skin.
But yeah I don't watch Twitch anymore* if I do it's to support some old streamers I know, I'll set it to 160p and put it on mute.
*I will watch if Threedogg and Drk does another 5 day Metal Gear Marathon!
No, all the big streamers on Twitch have viewbots because they don't ban for it. Their rationale is they don't know who is doing the viewbots, the streamer or somebody targeting the streamer, so they can't just ban them for it. Twitch doesn't seem very interested in shutting down viewbots either. You can search "twitch viewbot buy" and find dozens of sites to do it.
Yeah, no fucking shit. That's how view botting works. They "view" a large number of different people to try and make themselves look as legitimate as possible. But yeah, not sure if glorified drama and offhand remarks are worth an entire article.
Step 1: broadcast video games
Step 2: viewbot
Step 3: profit
Either bots or people just afking with the stream muted to get those game drops
