My opinion is Fallout is the best Fallout- but if you don't care about story and just want to cock about in the Fallout world then Fallout 2 is better for that- which is why I've played Fallout 2 a shit ton more.
The dream would be for someone to combine the two maps into a single map of all of California and north-western Nevada with the story being "you're a vault dweller who decided to leave the vault and cock around, maybe level unarmed and find some of that sweet power armor and then punch a deathclaw in the dick."
Or just become a jet-addicted porn star in Reno, why not.
Yeah I agree Fallout has a tighter , better story. When I play an rpg I usually care more about the world and characters and stuff than the main story quests so that’s why I prefer FO2 a little bet more.
I think somebody was working on re-making Fallout in New Vegas’ engine although like a lot of big mod projects it never materialized.
Plus, the car!!!!
