The logical conclusion from these assertions is that all ideas are equally valid, which we know to be false. So either 1, 2, or both are false.
2 is false.
1 is mostly accurate (I wouldn't say important, but merely that it does a thing), but it doesn't mean their ideas are valuable, or going to be communicated in a manner that makes sense.
