Thanks, been looking to run back to 2016 for awhile now back when populism and "middle-of-the-road" was still a thing.
Real talk though, anything that hesitates dies out in the political wilderness. This is why you hear "solidarity" thrown around so much when they're backing something fucking retarded, the left are lightyears ahead, so far ahead that up the foodchain they hand-up-ass puppet most of the right's major panels. Individually they are obnoxiously stupid but collectively they are far more potent. They're hungrier and want it more. The right and the "middle" just want to be comfy-wumpfy and fold the moment they are called a big ole naz. They're just along for the ride, their platform is literally "destroy my culture but do it in a meritocracy and do it legally!". The right is a fucking joke. "Run muh country into the ground so long as it's legal-like!" " Oh you want me broke, dead, and my kids brainwashed and raped? Let's vote on that! (Oh haha what are you doing? okay see what the immigrants and the dead think...) Let the best man win but hey, no cheating!" "Welp you won fair 'n square! Put 'er there, partner!" A middling stance is no longer an option for a hightrust society to emerge if it ever was and that position already made me "literally a nazi" miles back. These people were never going to pull punches just because you were nice and reached across the isle or tried to have an honest dialogue, you were always a nazi to them. They never gave a fuck about the rational position or the "meritocracy of ideals", you are the oppressor and the adversary - you are a nazi. If this is just some weaponization of whatever Kanye's going through, I'm not even offended - I don't hate Hitler, our corruption makes him look like an ideallistic child. We don't even love our people or our nation.
We are irredeemably evil for letting it all happen and frankly I'd rather be speaking German if it meant averting this Weimar 2.0 bullshit.
And my God, "we'll be labelled evil!" is the most pansy shit I have ever heard in my life. Egads! W-we'll be so uncomfortable!
This is also why I got off the fence. There is no way to fix all this if people just stay in the middle. There's an old GamerGate supporter named ShortFatOtaku who prides himself in being a centrist fence sitter in the middle. And he always does the "both sides have its problems and therefore being in the center and 'nuanced' is the correct position" mentality.
It absolutely drives me nuts he doesn't get that staying in the middle means you are just riding the wave of the Overotn window being shoved to the left. It means you aren't contributing and that you are getting in the way.
The only way to stop this retardation is TO PUSH BACK - not just to gain back ground we lost but to go PAST that to move the window even further to the right to a time where a lot of this shit wasn't happening and creating a society and government that is RESISTANT to it.
