I knew a chick with some really badass owl tattoos that were specifically laid out to accentuate her face (and possibly body). Actually looked pretty awesome.
Sadly, that kind of artistic finesse is more of an exception to the norm, even now. And it does nothing to accentuate a woman who doesn't bother to take care of herself physically, or mentally.
Tattoos are still a reasonable class signifier for men but literally all women have them now.
It's honestly a bit of a turn off at this point.
