Those in corporate areas of stadiums at the tournament will still be able to purchase alcohol.

The best thing about this cup is all these woke corporations taking a big L.

In Germany fans aren't buying even close to half the merchandise they usually buy. The best-selling Adidas jersey isn't the one from the German team but from the Mexican team. About 10% of consumers used to buy a new TV for world cups. This times it's barely 3%.

I guess kneeling rainbow idiots aren't as popular as they thought.

I'd love to believe that the decline in merch and TV sales are a result of fans being alienated by the fact that their sport and their teams actively hate them, but your average normie consumer will still consume in spite of that. The drop in sales is probably more due to Germans not having any money because they're spending it all on heating their homes.

Officials are blaming it on all the negativity around and criticism of the host country. Who knows. Either way, they're losing out on a lot of money and that's good.
