It's true that liberalism relies on collectivist, identity-based coalitions, especially among blacks and Jews, but seemingly paradoxically, the legitimacy of these groups hinges on their claims that whites are treating them discriminatory instead of as individuals. If you categorize brains, then all that comes apart because treating people different at a group level becomes justifiable because people are different at a group level. Just look at my own interactions with liberals here. It's loads upon loads of NAXALT emanating from them.
Then there is LGBT which is extremely individualist, especially the T. The immaterial definition that trannies use to define themselves now is so individualist that it claims their identity is completely unrelated to the material world That's any genetic lineage, any naturally occurring hormones in their bodies, and even any memes passed on from their social environment.
This whole movement is based on critical queer theory (Marxism), CRT on critical race theory (Marxism), and so on and so forth. All of these ideologies are derivatives of cultural Marxism and neo Marxism of some sort. None of them ascribe protections or identity as an individual. They are all collectivist, from many perspectives, including identity.
