Because Europe didn't have any nogs for the vast majority of it's existence, and the game is based on medieval Europe. While we're on the subject, Yasuke the black samurai was literally made up.
Shouldn’t that be common sense. There is truly something wrong with these people. Sad that they have so much influence. You could do a funny SNL skit where you pitch a show set in 1100AD Iceland and the execs keep asking about diversity
Ahh, Marx. Probably the first adherent of word salad. It baffles me to this day how such a shitty scholar could have ever rose to prominence, besides with the aid of the devil.
Of course, looking through that paragraph we see the devil in abundance. A state of never ending agitating and self inflicted unrest, all from a perverse and wicked desire to make the possessions of others their own.
Honestly could you imagine how amazing some games with entirely African casts would be if they were accurate, an rpg of the zulus done right would be insane. Just doing tribal conquest and adding in African mythology would be so much fun.
Which is funny because the only African games allowed are Carthage and Egypt related, the two least black in the continent. One is basically just a bunch of Mediterraneans, and the other's most famously used period was all about European rulers anyway.
I’ve thought the same thing but you know someone on social media would whine about something. It’s a catch 22. Whine about European settings and white characters (putting aside for the moment that most people playing the game are white), so they
Ale a game about the Zulus that looks cool but then gaming journalists whine about it being problematic and they stop development. That is unless the developers had some guts
Sadly they would cry racism for a realistic African game unless it was wakanda. This is so disgusting for the actual history of Africa where you could have truly unique stories that haven’t been made yet on the struggles of tribes simply because they aren’t black Mary Sues. Having to build up an African tribesman going through a warrior ritual, hunting down large predator game and fighting off rival tribes would be a universal epic experience akin to Greek mythology but modern leftists would never allow it.
Really? I want to believe you. Care to share any links or point me in the right direction? Whenever I look him up, there are articles and videos of soyboys cooming over him.
I am glad there are no nogs. They could have easily done what Sony did - blackwashing Angroboda in God of War Ragnarok.
Yes. The sole argument for the existence of Yasuke is the Jesuit chronicles of their missions to Japan. Which were filled with nonsense and aren't taken seriously by most Catholics. Several of them were bloating their accounts in hopes of a bishopric.
Nobunaga never mentioned him in his own writings. Which given that Nobunaga would write poems about pretty much anything he laid eyes on, suggests that the two never met. The sole corroborating account stated that one of the missionary priests had a black servant, and they presented him as a curiosity to Nobunaga's court, but there is evidence of nothing else.
Fascinating. I'm going to research this further. I don't care if there was a "black samurai" or not, but any chance to prove Wikipedia wrong on something is a good enough reason for me.
Here's another strain on historical credulity. Supposedly Yasuke fought for Nobunaga as a samurai. One of the claims is that he spoke fluent Japanese.
The time period between when they supposedly met and when Nobunaga was assassinated by Akechi Mitsuhide was... three months.
A black guy from what would now be Morocco, probably a slave to the priests, and someone whose language skills would have included mostly broken Portuguese, supposedly learned the second most difficult language on earth in three months. For reference, japanese has three goddamn formal alphabets.
There is nothing about the story that is historically credible. There is more evidence of Santa Claus than there is of Yasuke. Now if you want a Japanese historical figure that is actually interesting and actually real, I suggest Honda Tadakatsu. He's a real life Hercules.
Yasuke the warrior samurai was definitely made up. If he ever held such a title, it was only a title. He was still Nobunaga's manservant. Also, why the fuck did Nioh have him speaking English? William was probably the first fluent English speaker he would've ever goddamn met!
Save you a click.

If Marxists had common sense they wouldn't be Marxists. The ideology requires you to abandon coherent thought.
And it’s sad that so many young people fall for it

Truly, a disciple of hell.
