I unironically would suggest you sometimes look up the history of food as it's crazy, like how potatoes were thought to be poisonous and only a king could cure you or that tomatoes could kill people.
Lobsters used to be fed to dockworkers and manual laborers by the wheel barrow load, because they were considered oceanic cockroaches and unworthy of being eaten by the upper classes.
To be fair, lobsters and other shellfish are all bottom feeders, so if they come from a polluted area they're not very good for you.
Also, have you ever really looked at a lobster? Like, really looked at one? I wouldn't fucking want to eat that. Even if it could make me technically immortal.
I mean, I prefer to not eat things that sit on the bottom of the ocean and scavenge, so I am with you.
Oh for tomatoes it wasn't that as people did die but not for the reason they thought they did. The cutlery of nobility at the time was made of pewter, a combination of tin and lead. When eating the tomatos, the natural acidity of the tomatoes would react with this, bringing out the lead so people thought it was the tomatoes when it was actually lead poisoning.
Veal exists because the stomach lining of a calf has necessary enzymes to covert milk to other dairy products, like yogurt and whey.
A stomach or two can get a household through a year, so veal was a delicacy out of rarity.
