After he got backhanded by the mention of the West African Squadron when he tried the reparation angle, instead of them being recognised in media, you have 'The Woman King' which is essentially glamourising the slavers.
We all know why but this isn't the point of the post, I want to know what events, groups and people throughout history do you feel deserve fair and mostly accurate representation in media whether that be film, series or even games as a black flag like game as the West African Squadron capturing slave ships and freeing the slaves sounds like a fun experience.
Ignore the fact the woke studios would never allow it in current year so just have fun with it.
A game where you conquer other tribes in pre European arrival Americas or Africa. I would say China but there is dynasty warriors. A sci-fi movie that takes the ancient alien theory and takes place in India or the Dogon tribe in Africa(they claim their god came from Sirius). A monarch simulator where you try to keep the British empire going across the world.
Alternate universe where Roman Empire is a space faring race
Ah yes, a tech tree that goes from sharpened stick to sharpened stone stick
If it had combat like dynasty warriors I’d play. Although I may have to be creative with weapons.
Oh you could easily pull off a Conan style game too where it’s a pvp/e mmo of small tribes forced to compete for limited resources and everything trying to fucking kill you. Imagine having a lion or bear tear through your base camp and having to coordinate with other people to take it down.
I like that idea. Or be able to domesticate some. Even more trippy is use your shaman to gain mystical info or astral travel but can not be used a few times
I'd love an accurate one about the African World War
I’ve been meaning to get that game
Polish hussars would be a great show or movie, especially the battle of Vienna. Same with Charles Martell and the Franconians versus the Iberian Caliphate.
Those sound good. I forgot how deep European history goes since we focus so much on England here
Guys why did Spanish Catholics go so crazy?! Don’t talk about the Moors
Here's an easy one: The Pre-Civil War American South.
An honest portrayal of African or Native American history would actually be fascinating. The easy sell would be: Literally no white people. The biggest problem: destroys every single woke narrative utterly. Tyranny, oppression, theft of land, slavery, war-mongering brutality, severe ethnic & religious tension, so on and so-forth.
The moment you deconstruct the Leftist narrative with nuance is the moment you get actually interesting real stories of real people.
The stories and legends of these peoples were already passed down generation after generation, we just don't get to hear them because they conflict with narratives.
Muhammad, the loony bandit, and how the death of his first wife, who pegged him, unleashed his madness.
A narrative based game (think Telltale) about the true stories of what female SS guards did.
You'd soon get rid of the delusion that women can't be bad.
Politics aside...
The Falklands War would be a fun power trip kind of game, a hugely overpowered army vs a joke of a country.
Tell me you don't know about the Falklands War without telling me.
The British actually came very close to losing that war at the cost of thousands of sailors and marines. If the Argentinians had kept competent troops on the Island, had used their bombs and Exocet missiles effectively, it could have been the Conservative government in the UK that could have been deposed, rather than the Argentinian Junta.
In the UK, we were taught that it was won easily.
Must be that desperate need to feel powerful and relevant.
If you want a power trip game, we should just have a game called "Empire: Opium Wars
Because China got FUCKED during those wars....
Now they are fucking us with Fentanyl.
lul, that can't happen because the people running the media are the ones he was exposing
