But from what I saw, the man (also current champion) had gotten in his correction before KenJen pronounced his answer wrong, while the woman’s correction came after he pronounced her answer wrong (or at least started to).
My understanding is that this is within the scope of the rules: if you correct yourself before being declared wrong, it counts.
Most annoying to me is that this is such a non-story. Bread and circuses.
Complainants are correct that favoring one contestant over another is bad, but they are wrong about the fact that it must be their favorite pet buzzword.

Eh hearing the story of how much a bunch of douche canoes the TNG cast was back in the day. It’s jaded me on seeing them get back any kinda stardom.

Believe it or not Alex was t the original host. Just the longest running one. Someone did it for about a decade before Alex

Yeah, this. It was a bad call, but the use of all your typical left buzzwords just makes all form of sympathy vanish.
