I don’t much like Ken Jennings or what’s her name. I agree the show should have sunsetted with Alex.
But from what I saw, the man (also current champion) had gotten in his correction before KenJen pronounced his answer wrong, while the woman’s correction came after he pronounced her answer wrong (or at least started to).
My understanding is that this is within the scope of the rules: if you correct yourself before being declared wrong, it counts.
Most annoying to me is that this is such a non-story. Bread and circuses.
