Clownfish.TV talked about it a little bit covering the reviews (but not having seen it themselves).
From the sound of it, they changed almost the entire story from beginning to end. Geppetto makes Pinocchio as a replacement to his dead son (instead of just being a puppet maker who wished he had a son), they changed the opening music from "Wish upon a Star" to an new, original track, they followed a very different arch for the story with some new characters that didnt exist in the original story, Geppetto dies but Pinocchio cries him back to life, and it ends with it being ambiguous of it Pinocchio ever becomes a real boy.
So its entirely possible the critics would have wanted to give it a good review because "diversity". But the entire movie is such a fiery train wreck that they went "Its not worth it."
Honestly? The whole movie was probably Disney doing Disney things to make sure they didnt lose the copyright. Doesnt matter if its good, or even follows super close. It just has to have the name "Pinocchio" on it, and Disney gets another few decades of having exclusive rights to it.
The shock of the crushing defeat makes them publicly confront their own lies, that they made you so easily believe like a dogma.
There's an unprecedented amount of criticism being allowed. Others on TV are calling for executions not only of those panicking (citing Stalin's policy) but executing their own commanders and so on, as it happens Putin is the commander in chief who's been personally micromanaging it like Hitler.
I'm still waiting for you to criticize Ukraine for shooting POWs in the knee, and for using cluster munitions in civilian areas, but we there's the little problem of 'Poland' in that, isn't it?
Will you even give me it before the war is over? Because it may well be over soon
Oh my dude, but I'm trying to point you out to this very "using cluster munitions in civilian areas" after the first year (when the Ukrainian military was a total Soviet shit just like the Russian one is today). That's literally what I keep asking you for. You had boldly proclaimed that the West were "pointing it out" (where it = your fictional "terrorizing Donbas" with "cluster bombing of civilian areas") all these years. I just want you to point me out to this "pointing out". Do it, or if you can't then make the thread about how you were fooled, and by whom.
Oh my dude, but I'm trying to point you out to this very "using cluster munitions in civilian areas" after the first year
Interesting. Do you condemn their use in 'the first year'?
(when the Ukrainian military was a total Soviet shit just like the Russian one is today).
I wonder what changed, and why Russia would feel threatened by that.
You had boldly proclaimed that the West were "pointing it out" all these years
LOL! The corrupt West, pointing anything out about their allies? No, I said that even Western-backed 'human rights' organizations and media admitted it.
Do it, or if you can't then make the thread about how you were fooled, and by whom.
Is that going to be the standard when you turn out to be wrong about this ridiculous puppet non-country?
I've been already condemning it when it was happening. I've been also seeing a lot of shades from Croatia 1991 and Chechnya 1994 (also with the shared use of Soviet terminology "anti-terrorist operation" and "illegal armed formations"). I was extremely afraid it can end in an ethnic slaughter.
Not reading the rest, because I don't see any links. Give me the links, or make the thread about how you were fooled and by whom.
Here's an example of me talking about these things years ago (from one thread, I do miss modding CombatFootage):
Donetsk in general gave me a lot of deja vu, including the Ukrainian authorities' use of the very same Soviet jargon ("terrorist band formations" for the enemy, "Anti-Terrorist Operation" ATO for the war), also thing like armored columns being stopped by civilans early in the conflict. I'm happy it never descended into anything really ugly there and human losses were also limited to only about 10,000 killed or so. https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/7bpfy2/comment/dpkdd6a/
It was eerily like that - government buildings and the police and military bases being taken over by at first mostly unarmed mobs of revolutionaries, crowds of babushkas turning back armored columns, releasing POWs to moms, the "ATO" and other Soviet style talk including fantasy casualty figures from the government, all the talk about the troops "coming to our land" by rebels, the Soviet style "hero fortress city" of Slavyansk just like Grozny or the "eternal fortress" Bamut, rampant religious iconography (including, to quote, "Orthodox Jihad"), strange political leaders and eccentric warlords with confused and confusing ideologies, foreign fighters, and so forth. Even https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br2e9b5wn80 was like one story just like that in Chechnya (except social media of course). There were even hundreds of Chechens involed (on both sides) to keep things even more familiar. Also "Polish snipers and American mercenaries" (supposedly working for Ukrainians) replaced the old "Baltic female snipers and negro mercenaries" in the Russian dread fantasies. As I said, it didn't really escalate and the destruction and death toll have been kept quite limited.
Now, your links (that you can't provide, I know). Either the links, or the thread about who and how filled you so much. It will be a cautionary thread for the others like you.
I didn't even know they made one. Good riddance I say.
Ratings look weird. If it were truly a diverse movie, then surely the "critics" would have liked it more than the audience, not?
I do t know literally anything about this movie.
But anwyay. You know what, don't you? No I'm not going to drop it.

Jesus. Why not just call it something else at that point? How is it even Pinocchio aside from there being a marionette?
Honestly? The whole movie was probably Disney doing Disney things to make sure they didnt lose the copyright. Doesnt matter if its good, or even follows super close. It just has to have the name "Pinocchio" on it, and Disney gets another few decades of having exclusive rights to it.
Oh good. Bringing your cartoon spergouts into non-Ukraine related threads. Just what we all wanted. Hooray.
I just estabilished that u/AntonioOfVenice is indeed a coward without honor, and a gaynigger.
I forgive you for your spergouts.
Seriously watch this Russian TV: https://twitter.com/JuliaDavisNews/status/1569070513909022720

But anyway just watch this video.
What?
"Pointing out", Ant, still waiting.
Will you even give me it before the war is over? Because it may well be over soon. (Strelkov declaring the game over: https://twitter.com/FrankaWelz/status/1568533027994701825 He wants Shoigu executed lmao)

I'll remind you that you said that.

I’ll just play Lies of P instead, thanks.
