So in the interest of moving movie club forward I have decided on having two streaming times for our Euro and US spread community. The nice part of Cytube is it seems to allow self play throughout along with the chat function in real time. So the official stream times would be Eastern 2pm (UTC 7 pm) for Eurofags and Eastern 9pm (Central 8pm) for Americans. The first month theme will be spaghetti westerns despite losing slightly to anime because there is only 3 movie slots for the remainder of September and Anime deserves at least 4 weeks while the best trilogy of spaghetti westerns is Fistful of Dollars; For a Few Dollars More; and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. For backstory Fistful of Dollars was an "unofficial" remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1961 film Yojimbo. I have been looking into using Google drive to upload to Cytube and found the upload time takes a "verification" time after upload which also led to this decision. I will now begin loading all 3 films to the google drive so it is available by Saturday, and if wanted you can watch all three during the month after they are "verified" for anyone to catch up or watch ahead. So for the official September schedule it will be as follows:
9/10/22- Fistful of Dollars
9/17/22- For A Few Dollars More
9/24/22- The Good, The Bad, And the Ugly
Please add in chat what movies you want to add for Horror October as we have 5 movie slots and the only one I insist on is Noroi for one of the week slots. The goal going forward is to have the monthly spread available at the beginning of each month so each of you faggots have time to prepare in advance.
Will also post where to watch if you prefer streaming on a service, which with these three films require rental or "other" methods of acquisition. I personally use Plex.
Update: Google drive link for A Fistful of Dollars

have been having trouble getting the first movie on the cytube list but A Dollars More has loaded successfully.

Get three coffins ready.
So for horror my only request is one of the bloody 80s movies I've never really seen any of them. Nightmare on Elm St, Friday the 13th, whatever you know the genre I mean
oh baby I know Horror, The original Friday is fun for whodunnit suspense, but the second Friday has all the hilarious gory kills you want from an 80's film. Also Sleepaway Camp has so many fucked up themes that are all too relevant in todays society!
Some real chad picks, the Dollars trilogy still absolutely holds up.
Gotta have The Thing for October (Kurt Russel version, obvs). ReAnimator or Evil Dead would also be awesome, although they’re more horror-comedy. I think one of the Living Dead movies would be a good pick, either Night, Day or maybe Return. I don’t know if we want to go more landmark horror or if we want to get some more obscure stuff in there.
I think Dawn stands to present more pertinent commentary on today’s world (zombies in all walks of life), but really any of the first 3 would be excellent choices
Right, I meant to put Dawn instead of Day but I still love Day for Bud and Rhodes alone.
Ah, been a while since I've been called a faggot.
Thanks for organizing!
I’m just spreading love, not monkeypox!
Forgot to add the cytube link : https://cytu.be/r/KIA2MovieClub
update: all 3 films are now "processing" on Google Drive. Damn do they look good despite the age of the films.
u/DomitiusOfMassilia you make my chaps chafe
Check for Monkeypox immediately.
Std free since ‘93! Well ‘90, but ‘93 rhymes better
I had a look at CyTube and it required me to install a Tampermonkey script to be able to watch streams. Not a problem, but just a heads up for anyone who wants to save a minute or so before watching.
I saw that too now that you mention it, but even without the app you can click the link in the view the google drive video! I guess it just come down to preference as you could run two tabs, one for chat and one for the movie if you dont want to add the app.
Maybe Event Horizon for October?
Are you going to post a link to CyTube later?
How do I participate?
If you want an offbeat Western, try "The Good, The Bad, The Weird". The train robberry scene in the opening act is pretty entertaining].
I'm trying to avoid recommending things because I want to see some movies I haven't seen before instead of the same things I watch every October. But for November I feel like Wag the Dog is a must-watch for election season.
Solid movies and all, but I think that playing the trilogy is kinda "more of the same".
Maybe choosing a Corbucci and a Solima flick (besides a Leone) would give it a little more variety. The original Django wouldn't be a bad choice, since most people have seen some kind of knock off version of it, but rarely have they seen the original.
Also Navajo Joe is a silly yet solid picture, if you can get past the fact that Burt Reynolds is playing an Indian wearing a wig that most likely belonged to Sally Field. Burt Reynolds and the stunt crew are responsible for some of the most exciting, stylish and realistic fight scenes of the 60s (Marlon Brando in One Eyed Jacks is right up there too).
Anyway, great initiative. At first I thought that I wouldn't be taking part in the movie club because I thought it was going to be mostly japanese faggotry and horror/sci-fi (which aren't my cup of tea). Nice work guys.
dont get me wrong I wanted to do the trilogy because they were the most famous for anyone not initiated and I actually had only seen the good the bad and the ugly until recently. however I believe western should be revisited again with more films as they are vastly underrated in todays world
