Shinzo Abe wasn't actually that well liked by the nationalists from what i heard, he was more a neocon politician (sadly most others are probably worse than him). They need an alternative to LDP . There's a few small far right parties that have been popping up in recent years so i think they realize they need alternatives also.

Japan is 5-10 years away from terminal wokeness.
Most of the west is at the imminent civil war stage in my opinion.
Which certainly might change the Japanese's minds once they see where it leads.

I think.. the olympics is a signal for the death of an empire or country/city. Japan seem to be relatively fine until the most recent tokyo olympics.
