I feel like nobody gets the joke.
The joke is that they're putting in palm trees and pine trees to "diversify" the forest of ancient boreal European deciduous trees.
Too cerebral for this group. I thought it was just toys so they were turning it into the cheap looking billion dollar rangz series.

I hate to be that guy, but European forests were predominately broad-leaf. The terminal forest in Europe is Oak-beech with akacia and birch on the limnus of the wood. Pine-woods are common in areas with heavy human management and sandy soil, but they are generally the result of forestry for lumber.
I was gonna ask is that a screencap from WC3 Reforged?
