Or Indian food. Seriously when I was still an office person I avoided the breakroom totally during lunchtime, because it smelled like a day old Indian restaurant.
Until that happens, they can keep printing money and giving it to BlackRock, and BlackRock CEO Fink can give it to his friends, and they can give it to their friends, etc etc.
I've just gotten to the point I can't keep up with all the garbage game companies do so to a point at least when it comes to getting games I quit trying.
So, I buy games either because they've been out a couple years and information I can gather on it makes me comfortable the game is good enough. This rules out a ton of these political companies on their own, because their BS ruins the games. Seeing Gearbox on the list is a prime example of this, their games suck because of the politics.
Or, if I'm playing it with friends/family. I don't have a ton of gaming buddies but they are all people I know offline as well. Hanging out in games has become a good male camaraderie activity for us that can be a lot more impromptu than actually going somewhere. None of us are really woke anyway, but a multiplayer requirement is limiting. I relax requirements a bit for that.
Their insane rate of IP and studio acquisition didn’t really add up. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that it’s an ESG bankrolled takeover of the AA and indie gaming space. They’re very hands off right now, but you just know they’re going to drop the woke hammer eventually.
Sucks to think about it. Some of my favorite games and IP are in their hands.
Oh boy... There where already rumblings some time ago, the Saudi investment added to that, and now this confirmation. My problem with this would be the fact that they now own the rights to Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain, and many many others. I'd rather not wonder what kind of abomination they can turn Deus Ex into... Who knows what the future holds for all those established franchises. Oh wait, Mass Effect, Dragon Age... well shit.
You have to assume that any company with a lot of money at this point is just a vehicle for Far-Left/totalitarian takeover.
The only way I'd have faith is if the company was outside of the US and had a track record against it. (Neutrality is not an option.)
don't use the "toxic work environment" unless you are talking about stuff like mercury or asbestos or uranium
thats gay subverted language

I'm pretty sure that is considered a crime against humanity.
I wish mercury, asbestos or uranium were actually present in the work environments of the muppets that use that phrase.
This ESG bullshit is so pervasive.
I wonder what needs to happen for it to eventually go away.
Non esg infected companies making a shit ton more money
ESG companies that fail will just get bailed out by their respective governments anyway. Either way, they get your money.
Return to reality would mitigate the ESG and potentially remove it.
The US federal reserve needs to die.

"buy" games. What a quaint notion!
