Really need to emphatically agree with you on this point. You can't come to a realisation without being "punched in the face" if you never had access to all the necessary information. Especially when the prevailing opinion is reinforced by government propaganda, people who don't realise the system is malicious will continue to believe it reliable.
Yep. I'd equate it to being their "Gamergate." Though that's not a 1:1 comparison because, honestly, stakes were much lower with gamergate. Complaining about corporations fixing game reviews is really small in comparison to parents getting their kids brainwashed.
Either way, GG gave a lot of young teen & 20-somethings a punch in the face and this is doing the same for the 30-40 somethings.
