Printing trillions of dollars was absolutely the catalyst for our current labor strike, but not because people are “flush”. Those would-be workers only received a small percentage of that printed money. Most of it went to special interests, foreign aid, and other government graft. The resultant inflation has made current wages a complete joke, and that is why people aren’t working. The elites enacted a gigantic giveaway for themselves, and now they are trying to blame the inevitable consequences of their corruption on us.
I want to know what all those people are doing for money, though? I'm considering getting a second job and fighting to get a higher position/pay at work to afford my bills as I had to get a new fridge, financed of course.
I wonder the same thing. I know a couple people that were "flush" temporarily while collecting huge pay raises from Covid unemployment, but that's all gone now. I also know that both of the people I know definitely just spent up all that extra money on stupid shit the second they had it. Yet I don't think that unemployment has been a thing here since at least the end of 2021 and I can go anywhere without seeing labor shortages and hiring pitches. So what happened to all the people who used to work these jobs?
I have no idea. But I do see people in nice new clothes, nails done, fancy phones, and using EBT cards. They all have EBT cards. Illegals, foreigners, rich people, ghetto trash, trailer park trash, seniors. They all have ebt cards. I can't qualify for even the minimum of $16 a month because I made $16k last year, and neither can my parents who make a combined 32k a year on social security (starting this year that is). But, somehow, all these fucking people are getting social security, rebate cards, food cards from their insurance companies.
Remember when the government told all the apartment complexes they weren’t allowed to evict, turns out when you lost your job working the gas station because you a broke nigga, and you stop paying your rent because they can’t kick you out for two years and all your other expenses are covered by food stamps and ebt, you can save a ton of money on unemployment with pretty much 0 other expenses.
Eventually, with inflation, you either get raises, or you switch employment to something that can sustain you, be it barter-based, crime-based, or self-employment, possibly in the prior two categories.
You saw it in Argentina with the socialism and socialist leaders: People would quit working... for Argentinian money. They would still work for food, for US dollars, for bitcoin, but they were out of the official workforce, because that money was too inflationary, it had too little value.
Wages have not kept up with inflation. Systematic unemployment applies to businesses, too. Some businesses will cease to exist in the new inflation led world order.
I'm guessing a lot of these too. Gig workers are supposed to report it, but they aren't. They didn't pay attention to the last stimis monies bill, and are going to be in for a rude awakening come January and receive a W2 saying it was all reported to the government as per the bill.
People 'don't wanna work' because they realized the one promise of "a steady paycheck" is a lie, was a lie, and will always be a lie. Millions of people were pushed out of a plane without a fucking parachute after years of being treated like shit and putting their dreams on hold. The people are tired of a fake economy with fake money for fake jobs and have either decided to start following their dreams or just checked out completely.
I know the white girl problem is a large number. Either they dropped out of the work force because they could parasite off other people or they got onlyfans/gig jobs they aren't reporting that require no real effort. But that's only the a small fraction.
A great deal of it is being held by federal, state, and local budgets, acting like budget surplus or being hidden as 'allocated' on the balance sheets to hide that it's not being spent or used for the intended purpose. Like Social Security. Many of these states and municipalities are doling out 'grants' left and right to no-bid contracts. Even here in Florida. DeSantis is using the state's share to make tax holidays to encourage greater spending/borrowing.
That's deposits. This money is supposedly spent, but was never put out there. They ratholed it away. It's where they suddenly get money for their pet projects. A full audit would find the amount of intake doesn't match the out flow.

We need a lot of rope.

There do seem to be a shit tonne of fucking potheads here openly smoking and Florida is MM only.
Yeah there’s definitely some fraud going on there. I see those all the time by people it makes no sense for.

That ended in Florida in September 2020. But holy fuck the balance on the white food cards and EBT cards...

The theory I subscribe to is that everyone found under-the-table work.

Dude, no one needed that mental image.

This is cash in circulation
This is money in demand-deposit (e.g. checking) accounts.
A lot of that money helicoptered in and/or not spent during the pandemic is indeed still out there.

US government deposits are excluded.
