I'm sure the senate chambers were open to the public and those guys scaling the scaffolding and slamming into police with riot shields are just misunderstood.
People who pretend this was a peaceful protest are as dishonest as those calling it an attempt to overthrow the government. It's the textbook definition of a riot.
You are still at the stage where you think being "honest" matters.
What matters is supporting the people on your side and harming the people who aren't on your side, the circumstances aren't relevant. While you sit on your high horse smugly caring about "honesty" the other side cares about winning. Thats why things are the way they are today. Eventually you will get there and be useful, or maybe not and keep being an impediment.
You don't get a prize for being the most principled corpse in the mass grave.
So you admit you were being dishonest when you denied Jan 6 was a riot? That's progress.
I'd love to here how lying about that when there are hours of video available to anyone with the internet to disprove you helps you "win" against other people lying and calling it an insurrection.

Stop thinking the abortion thing is actually about abortion. It is about publicly demonstrating that our side still has a bit of institutional power, that we haven't totally lost yet. The actual issue is irrelevant, what matters is one side is for it and the other is against it. We won, they lost. Victory is about racking up those wins. Their side has 3/4 century head start and we are just starting to roll the maps out on the planning table.

To me it involves property destruction and violence, not random walking around and talking through megaphones.
It's over 12 minutes long. I take it you didn't bother to watch past the first few seconds? I'll make it easy for you: at around the two minute mark you have people wrestling with police and ripping the protective covering off the scaffolding while yelling "go, go" and "fuck you police" and a mob pushes forward and starts climbing through windows.
There's plenty more video out there, and I don't believe for a second that after a year and a half you haven't seen it too. This "see no evil, hear no evil" game you're playing is laughable.
