Well surprisingly a lot of ppl aren’t aware that they were enslaved and sold first by Africans. I remember people watching a Thomas Sowell video going over world slavery and they were shocked
Wait till they find out what happened to all the black people who were shipped to the Turks.
Yep. But why bother learning that when you can act like the US is the only country that ever had slavery and virtue signal.
Wait until they learn about who were the primary people shipping them over and purchasing them in the states.
There are literal ledgers filled with transitions showing how Europeans traded with African tribes to receive slaves that said tribes took as PoW. However, all this is ignored in favor of pushing the idea that white people went into the rainforest with nets to "bag me a darkie". They also love to push the idea of slavery started with America and ended with the Civil War (which is funny considering that Vermont and Kentucky were allowed to continue practice slavery until the passing of the 13th)
I’ve tried explaining all this but they don’t care.
In the 90's I remember seeing a "music" video by some dumb rapper, I think it was Master P, showing white slavers hiding up in jungle trees in Africa waiting to pounce on unsuspecting black natives walking by.
People think that's what actually happened.
I know. But when you actually think about it it just doesn’t make sense. Why would Europeans continually go there if they had to hunt and fight. Makes more sense that African chiefs were waiting to sell
