I have not actually said much about Patriot Front here. The act of the assumption itself is what I was criticizing- before imp bit at least. The is-a-fed narrative plagues literally every level of right wing activism outside of officially sanctioned anti-conservative Conservatism Inc material, which is exactly what a fake astroturfed narrative from those feds would aim to accomplish.
It doesn't actually matter if PF are feds if you don't interact with them. What matters is the the proliferation of trained reactionism meant to prekill genuine activism that isn't comped.
Like actual astroturf for the lawn, if your lawn is replaced with turf the only features left will be fake ones.

Fucking Ruby Ridge only happened because a bunch of people in those groups were in fact feds, and tried to lure Randy into an illegal deal.
