Anyone riding the NYC subway should carry at least a tear-gas gun and a taser. My weapon of choice in NYC and elsewhere concealed carry is not an option is the sword-cane. Stylish (for an old man like me) and quite effective when kept razor sharp. Even a wild slash can do quite a bit of damage and create an intimidating non-lethal flow of blood.from the face or appendages of a would-be attacker.
