I was watching some Stephan Molyneaux video recently where he flew into a rage about what a garbage human Warhol was and the trash art that Warhol made. SM really hates Andy Warhol.
I like some of Warhol's work, I like this one. But not $195M worth. The article mentions other colors of this same work, there are 4 total, orange, turquoise, blue, and red.
He was a sexually depraved 1960's nihilist with numerous phobias who inhabited the core of hedonistioc society in NYC of the time. Said to be an otherwise gentle man when he wasn't engaging in some kind of debauchery.
I don't see why. Warhol knew he was making trash; and he did it as deliberately as a man filling a swimming pool with a septic truck. Because people would pay for it.
Andy Warhol was a troll, who's redeeming quality is that he knew full well he could sell people shit, and thought it was hilarious that they would pay him for shit and proudly hang it on the wall and brag about paying for shit.

However I wouldn't mind knowing what Molyneaux had to say.
