I’m already wary of newer shows and with this being a prequel of a show with a terrible ending, I guess it could still be good but who knows. Maybe I’m petty but I still find it annoying that GRRM can’t be bothered to work on the main story of Ice and Fire and keeps working on side projects.

No. I don't give new things the benefit of the doubt really anymore. I'll watch it if I get a lot of independent reviews that are off the charts good. I don't want to buy HBO anyway. What I really think it will be is a low quality money grab that will only get attention because it's prior series was popular.
Is there a single show on tv right now that doesn’t suck and isn’t woke in any way? Better Call Saul is all I can think of and it’s almost over.
Reacher was good
Outer Range had a great first episode but got much worse as the mystery box was opened and I thought the last episode sucked
Yellowstone is decent. Although it does have a high-powered business woman character, she is subordinate to her father who is essentially a modern noble defending his fiefdom from corporations, indians, and modernity itself. It's a cowboy show featuring a lot of traditional archetypes.
Spez: The more I think about it the more based I realize it is. Wokeness is generally kept to the mandated minimum and often gets subverted. The high-powered business woman got sterilized on an indian reservation getting a teenage abortion, but they quickly drop the evil whites sterilizing injuns angle by framing the abortion and lack of children as the root cause of her becoming a fucked up person. In the latest season, the pater familias holds a press conference to announce he is running for governor where he says, "If you want progress, vote for someone else. I am the wall against progress."
My rule of thumb is not to watch anything after 2014 without some recommendation from a trusted source. I have hbo max but will get rid of it once I watch or rewatch the older stuff because their new stuff doesn’t appeal to me. To think there was a time years back where I’d watch every HBO show that came out.
Me neither. There are some other shows they don’t have like Dream On. I have a bunch of the Tales From the Crypt comic book reprints
I understand. Same reason I loved I Dream of Jeannie reruns as a kid
No. The early character images are as bad as the lord of the rings stuff.
No. Not even on "third-party" websites.
Shrug off your brand loyalty.
No, I’ll just watch everyone on YouTube making fun of it after the fact, I think it’ll be a pretty entertaining train wreck.
Nope. I can't stand mongoloids or homunculai, why would I watch a series starring them? And that's just the women.
You're kidding, right? Not a chance.
I'll do the same as always. Not get hyped, wait for reviews from Critical Drinker, read comments about it here and then I'll watch it.
I do not have enough spare time to watch bad shows.
God no, I can already see how their going to twist this away from two branches of a powerful household plunging into an inevitable civil war into a wholly one sided narrative about how 'the queen that never was' got cheated out of the throne.
No.
No. But I will watch Game of Thrones seasons 1 - 4 and read the unfinished Song of Ice and Fire.
What can I say? Refuse Modernity, Embrace Classic.
