It’s very good. No woke retardation whatsoever, unapologetically masculine, great visuals, appropriate casting.
Director Robert Eggers is, by all accounts, a typical Hollywood lefty - but he has now made three straight good movies with all-white casts. Pretty miraculous, although it clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed this time around.
I’m curious to see how badly he folds on his next projective. Will he make another white period piece and just shove in black actors? Or will he attempt a black period piece and get raked over the coals for appropriation?
Wouldn’t it be something if he ignores all that shit and simply continues making good movies with white peoples?
You'll enjoy it! It kinda drags around the half way mark but the movie actually goes by relatively quick. I was impressed by the historical accuracy and the story wasn't overly complex, it kept it to the scale and scope it needed to be.
Not seen it, I don't watch new Western movies anymore.
It's accused of white supremacy for NOT PUTTING HISTORICALLY INACCURATE BLACK PEOPLE in it. That's it. Don't know anything of its story or entertainment value.
Lol the pagan kill count is miles higher in the movie. If anything the Christians (all two or three of them) in the movie come off looking like saints compared to the Norse.
Seeing the shit the main characters get up to made me wish they got Christianized earlier.

Thanks, I will check it out.

It's making feminists reee, so yes.
Trailer sucks.
Bad visuals and: "Father!" "Grunt" Sword sound, chant, "Grunt" Sword sound, chant, "Grunt" Sword sound, chant, "Grunt" Sword sound, chant, "Grunt" Sword sound, chant, "Grunt" Sword sound, chant,
All I hear is how great it is, but naked men and the slaughtering of Christians sounds like a leftist wet dream movie. I’ll pass.

I liked it
I’ve heard great things. I will watch it
The director is a leftist, they're playing reverse psychology.
I only really enjoyed Hamlet in as much as it ended in a pile of bodies.
