Problem is Republicans are not fighting this, they fight not having female swimmers, female weight lifters and men in girls bathrooms. Don't get me wrong, I am not for those things but the kids that are being suckered in to joining the trans cult are most of the victims, we are talking here about mutilation, sterilization and a high change of suicide.
The discussion should be:
1 - clearly being trans is bad for your health and your mental health. This has to be made front and center to combat all of the propaganda about heteronormativity
2 -in societies that accept trans the spike in the number of trans is ONLY in new generations and ONLY in places that encourage it. You would expect the increase to be across generations so either older people have been cured or this is the result of grooming.
3 - gender theory is a huge reason for all this trans
4 - if being trans is bad for your health and is impacted by societal pressure and gender theory teachings then is our collective duty to save kids from harm
This is what the Republicans should make clear to every parent and kid out there.
There is no "discussion" anymore and from what I can tell it is no longer possible. The neomarxists found the flaw in the system.
When one side can call their opponent's boss/sponsors/mods and get him fired/cancelled/banned by saying he is a racist there is no need to win in the "marketplace of ideas".
Just keep using social and economic violence until there is nobody left to speak against you.
The question is do we let ourselves go extinct or do we have the courage to take power and use it against those who wish us harm? Our only "principles" are how can we help our friends and hurt our enemies? One group will always be "oppressing" another, power doesn't just disappear because we are too "principled" to exercise it. It is our duty to make sure that it is our group on top.
We don't need reasons. Anyone who asks for reasons or "points out contradictions" is acting subversively and he needs to shut the hell up.
We need strong defamation, blood-libel, and anti-cancel culture laws if freedom of speech is going to work.
We need exile or something stronger against subversives.
If someone shows he will attack you by whatever means he has available then you can't ever be secure again until he is forced is used against him until he is unable or unwilling to attack again.
I definitely think exile should be an option for a whole host of crimes. Not sure why that fell out of favor.

They would eat up the "it's homophobic & misogynistic" part. Being "more socially progressive than the progressives" is definitely a BoomerCon & NormieCon type of thing.

Progressives called gays "racist islamaphobes" for planning a gay pride walk that would go through "diversified" ( muslim ) neighbourhoods.
Because they know the Muslims would get violent. And people being aware of that might stop passively supporting mass migration.
So better pre-emptively blame "racism" for the violence.
I can understand the locker room/bathroom thing as a political wedge because it triggers the defensive emotions of parents who want to protect children, but once you start getting into college sports I'm like no, you get to enjoy the feminine benis. This is what you believe in ladies.
Lots of things are bad for your mental and physical health, and we do not ban them. We do not live nor do we want to live in a nanny state
Anti-cult training might be useful (or even anti-cult laws).... Certainly we need a change in society where you can't even criticize.
But we do ban a lot of things for minors.
