If a nationalist isn't right wing, then what is?
Nationalists are typically progressive. The progressive movement pushed nationalism.
The schism between progressive nationalists & internationalist socialists comes from the failure of Socialists to attract people during World War 1.
However, even now, Nationalism is still being actively used by Progressives, normally when they are trying to create "Anti-Colonial" rhetoric.
