This is a nice way of placing the blame of all their problems present and future on the public and Putin instead of a the politicians who caused them. "A shortage of food and fuel? Well, we told you to stay home. You didn't think to take that time to start a garden in your bathroom window? For shame. Now, into the oven with you!"
The same people who said this waste at least 103 million Euros every year moving the parliament between Brussels and Strasbourg.
The EU in its way to poverty and official US colony status.
If your job can be done from home, it doesn't need to be done.
Programming? Writing? Tech Support?
Ok I'll bite and be the annoying contrarian. Care to elaborate? I would argue that any job someone is willing to pay for needed to be done.
(government funded, legally mandated, or corporate token virtual signal roles notwithstanding)
I can work from home (programming). Medical image processing to be more precise. Does that "need" to be done? No. Do I still provide value to society, by helping to improve the health of everyday people? Yes.
I'm...not sure I agree with this actually. Everyday people are literal fucking animals. They aren't sentient.
Tedpilled or boomer?
Boomer if I had to guess.
Do what I did and get a job in an office full of right wing people.
I wish I had an office I could commute to.
Is this why I desire to go into the office? Am I just mad?
“Manage me harder daddy corporate!”
I have no idea how our side became anti-WFH. That was the only good thing to come out of all this.
We can breathe all air out of the atmosphere to stop the russians!
