That's the biggest tell this is fake. An adult man taking a solid hit doesn't immediately recover. Heck, even giving a solid hit with a bare fist hurts like hell and can easily break your hand.

If real it probably wasn't a solid hit. Mic magnifies the sound making it seem harder, slick shoes on glossy floor take the power away. You can see Smith's hand bounce off, his feet slide around. Rock seems like somebody who's taken a punch before.
On the other hand I freeze framed it and Smith used an open hand slap. So staged or not he wasn't trying to knock him out. ¯\(ツ)/¯
